JD'S EBROCAT QUEST

With the warm winds of spring, comes an air
of anticipation for anglers all around Europe and
none more so than those preparing for a session
of catfish fishing on the River Ebro in Spain.
At ECQ we know that as soon as spring arrives and the
buds on the trees start to blossom, this indicates that the
River Ebro Catfish and Carp will soon start to awaked
from their winter snooze at Caspe and when this
happens its action, action, action!!!!
As we welcome each weeks new group of anglers, we
know it is only a matter of time before we will hear
screaming buzzers, see arched rods and smashed PB's...
...The mighty River Ebro will not let us down!!!
This year, we are really looking forward to our new
season. Last years results proved that the Caspe
catfish are definately growing bigger and the posibility
of a 200lb fish this summer is more realistic than ever.
Hopefully, it will be next weeks guests that land the
monster and crack open my champagne with our new
'TOP CAT100' record. Good luck, and watch this space!!!

Nature still calls on the river!!!

With the sun warming the waters the fish
continue to go through their spring time
spawning ritual, which of course made the
fishing very tricky for this week anglers.
They did however still manage to land cats to 93lb
and carp to 32lb whilst themselves, basking in the sun.

BRIT LANDS 226LB
SPANISH RECORD CAT

A British angler has landed a
European record on his first
catfishing expedition. Carl Smith
and friend Dave Jones, caught
the 226lb Wells Catfish on
holiday in Spain.
The men struggled with the
8ft monster for more than
90 minutes and have named
it Jaws.
