Just when Paul Jones thought fishing on the Ebro could not
get any better than his previous two trips with ECQ, his
right hand rod tip twitched. Then seconds later, wrenched
over and line peeled from the bait runner. The buzzer was
letting out that all too familiar one tone sound!!
Accompanied on his latest trip by Ex Tacklebox employee
Dave 'No more line' Buckley, Paul was into what turned
out to be another River Ebro whacker, a new PB of 135lb.
Nice one son!!!
This fish was just 1 of 23 catfish including 10 over the
magic 100lb mark that the two anglers caught during
their 3 day trip last week. See the CATCH report.
Just before one screaming take, first time visitor Dave
said "I am not giving my fish any line". A comment he
promptly took back when he was dragged down the bank
attached to a 128lb Ebro monster!
Both anglers left with smiles and will no doubt be back
early next year when the cats are back on the feed.
