LAND OF THE GIANTS
The river Ebro is the longest river in Spain, flowing
from its source in the Cantabrian Mountains down
to the distant Mediterranean.
ABOUT THE RIVER EBRO
The very name of the Iberian Peninsula comes
from this river – Iberia, the country of the Ebro.
This incredible, unspoiled and untamed river boasts
an array of wildlife species and fish that cater for
all kinds of angler from the specialist big fish
hunter to the general pleasure fisherman.
Resident species include Common Carp, Mirror
Carp, Crucian Carp, Bass, Trout, Rudd and Zander.
The river Ebro is also home to some of the largest
Wells catfish in Europe with specimens in excess
of 200lb being caught in recent years.

Length: 910 km
Basin area: 85,362 km², some 17% of Spain's
surface area (445 Km2 in Andorra, 502 Km2 in
France, the rest in Spain )
Flow at mouth:
426 m3/s in 1994 (22% less than in 1971)
Main tributaries:
Jalón, Gállego, Cinca-Segre, Aragón
The River Ebro is a vast expanse of water with some
lively hidden secrets. We fish at various points
and have found that the dams, bays and mainstream
with varying depths of up to 50 feet are an absolute
haven for the river Ebro catfish and carp.
